Both Deceased Students Revealed in the Providence Campus Shooting as Law Enforcement Press On With Hunt for Perpetrator.

Both young individuals who lost their lives in the recent tragic incident at Brown University were being remembered Monday – while an intensive search for their assailant continued following the discharge by Rhode Island officials of the single suspect detained in connection in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was remembered as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which honored her memory at a gathering on Sunday.

Her role included vice-president of Brown’s division of the College Republicans organization, as the club stated. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies publicly, remarking: “There are no words. Keeping in mind her family and friends, above all her mom and dad.”

The Second Victim

The other deceased individual was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, an Uzbek national in his initial year at the Ivy League university, according to relatives.

His name was confirmed by the foreign office of Uzbekistan.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He harbored grand aspirations of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a tribute.

The Shooting Incident

Nine other people were hurt in the violent event in the school of engineering of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Officials stated late Sunday that a 24-year-old male detained in a raid at a Hampton Inn about around 27 kilometers from the scene earlier in the day was released from custody.

“A perpetrator remains free,” stated Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Occasionally a probe goes down a path, and then you have to regroup and go in another, and that’s exactly what has happened over the last day or so.”

Ongoing Concerns

The city's mayor, Brett Smiley, noted: “It is expected to provoke new worry for our public”.
